House Committee  

A.   House committee shall have as its members, a chairman and up to four members selected at large from the Post membership roster. These members shall be subject to the approval of the Post Commander.

B.    Shall preside over all social functions as approved by the vote of the general membership.

C.   Shall present their reports in writing, with said reports being signed by the Secretary or Chairperson of the committee. 

House Rules

·        Only members of the American Legion, the American Legion Auxiliary and Son’s of the American Legion, in good standing, will be admitted to this club.

·        Club Privileges will be suspended for all members not having their yearly dues paid by January 1st.

·        All members, employees and guests will be treated with utmost respect.  Anyone harassing bartenders, waitresses or any other employee or member working on behalf of the Post will be requested to leave immediately.  The House Committee will review all situations of this nature for additional disciplinary action.

·        A member may entertain no more than five resident guests per month, except with the permission of a member of the House Committee. The same guest may not be entertained more than once per year if eligible for membership. Ineligible guests may be entertained a maximum of five times per year.

·       A resident is defined as any person who resides or has a place of business within a fifteen mile radius of the club premises.

·       A non-resident guest may be entertained without restriction.

·        A member must accompany all guests. All guests must sign the guest register, recording their name, address, and date of visit. The sponsor then must sign the guest register. Guests are required to leave the club with their sponsor. Guests are not allowed to make any purchases.

·        Members will at all times be responsible for the conduct of their guests.

·        All persons in the club require orderly conduct.

·        No person in a state of intoxication will be admitted to this club. Offenders will be subject to disciplinary action by the House Committee.

·        Loud or profane language will not be tolerated in this club. Offenders will be subject to disciplinary action by the House Committee.

·        Every member is required to show his/her current membership card upon request of any member of the House Committee or Duty Manager.

·        It is unlawful for any member to be present in this club during the hours it is closed. Only authorized personnel, participating in official business, are permitted on the premises during closed hours.

·        No minors are permitted in the bar at any time unless they are accompanied by a parent or guardian.

·        Closing time may be advanced at the discretion of the Club Manager. In an emergency or severe weather conditions, a House Committee member may authorize closing early.

·        Last call will be sounded thirty minutes before closing.

·        Member’s violation any of these rules shall be ejected and may thereafter be denied the privileges of the club.

·        Any person or persons having a grievance with the operation hours, personnel operating the club, etc., shall submit to the House Committee, a written statement of those grievances. The statement must include date, time, person or persons present and the specific nature of their grievance.

·        No person or persons shall in any way interfere with or disrupt the normal operation of the club.

·        Offenses defined above shall be punishable according to those prescribed by the House Committee with the approval of the Executive Committee.
